What We Believe

We are building a church where Discipleship is key, Connection is our heart & Jesus is central to all we do.

Discipleship is key.

We have a warm building and comfortable seats to sit in during our services, but that isn’t where we’re supposed to stay. To be a Christian; a follower of Christ, to genuinely act as His disciples, we’re to do what He did, and that was to go out into the world and spread His Good News. In 21st century Britain, we can’t expect people to just walk into our churches off the street, we have to be prepared to go out and share the gospel with our friends, family and in the community in which we live. We have nothing to fear, as we have God on our side.

“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””

— John 18:31-32

Connection is our heart.

You’ll read the word ‘Community’ all over this website. We’re passionate about it and the need to build it stronger so that we’re better prepared to weather what life brings and do the work God calls us to. In our services and our Discipleship Hubs we’re intentionally building relationships that support each other and care for and serve one another. This sounds serious; and it is, but we also have a lot of fun!

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.”

— John 12:26

Jesus is central to all we do.

In a world increasingly focused on self, we’re seeking to remain centred on Jesus; our Saviour. We won’t water down the Gospel or pick and choose the bits of the Bible that make us feel safe and comfortable. We want to be authentic Christians; living the life that Jesus has called us to and keeping our eyes fixed on Him so we don’t get it wrong.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

— John 3:16
